Crystals are very popular Feng Shui enhancements. As well as supporting the flow of harmonious energy and lifting the energy in a space they make a stunning visual decoration in their own right. In this series of articles I focus on some of the most popular crystals that are used in Feng Shui, turning my attention here to the lovely sunny yellow Citrine.
Citrine is an extremely powerful crystal and can have a number of uses in the home. Citrine's energy is very yang and because of this Citrine crystals can be placed in any of the yang areas of the home. Looking at your house these are the areas of the house that cover the north east, east, south east and south and represent knowledge, family, wealth and self esteem.
If you want to strengthen the energies in any of these areas, placing Citrine crystals can be an easy and effective way to offer support. In the knowledge area placing a bowl of Citrine crystals can help your creativity and confidence. In the family area Citrine can help bring joy to your family get togethers, and if you are suffering from low self esteem placing Citrine in the fame and self esteem area of the home can give your ego a bit of a boost.
Citrine crystals carry the energy of the sun and are beautiful to have around the home as their bright yellow colour can really uplift the energy in any space. They are especially good to have in the bathroom which as a functional room can sometimes feel a bit neglected. If you want to use these crystals in the bathroom they can be placed either in a bowl by the side of the bath or behind the toilet.
The most common and well known use for Citrine crystals is as a wealth cure. If you would like to attract money in to the home, placing 8 citrine crystals in your wealth area can be very beneficial.
My favourite wealth cure using Citrine crystals is to place 8 crystals in a wooden box in to which you have also placed a small denomination note. This can be placed in your wealth area or in your most auspicious area as determined by your Kua number (for more

My most auspicious direction for wealth and success is South East, which perfectly matches with the wealth area and corresponds to the entrance hall in my home. I have a wealth cure placed on a table by my front door and I regularly touch it as I pass whilst saying a quick affirmation.
